BIO
Dorothy Keady is a New York based meditation and yoga instructor. Born and raised in the city of Chicago, IL, Dorothy originally moved to New York to study art, and work in fashion. Over the course of her career she has spent time at world renowned fashion brands including InStyle, Elle and Harper’s BAZAAR.
Having grown up an athlete, Dorothy has long understood the importance of physical exertion and its vast array of somatic and psychological health benefits. Finding refuge from extraordinarily challenging work environments in physically demanding yoga classes, Dorothy became intrigued with uncovering a deeper understanding of yoga, and the history of this time honored practice. In 2016, by a stroke of good luck, she attended the Jivamukti Teacher Training where her meditation practice developed and her interest in bringing the benefits of mindfulness and meditation to others blossomed.
With nearly 1,000 hours of certification teaching yoga and meditation, Dorothy’s classes meld her previous experience working in high-pressure corporate environments with her passion to share the proven benefits of these time-honored mindfulness exercises.
Dorothy works with corporations, small groups and individual private clients designing custom tailored programming to encourage individuals and teams to rethink ways of communication, reimagine narratives, and realign with an intention of balance and equanimity to empower the presence of everyone.
